The village has nearly doubled in size in recent years as there has been  far too development , our community is struggling with the rapid intake of new residents without time to assimilate. Local infrastructure is crumbling. Access to the M1 and bypass is horrendous, public transport is insufficient, forcing more car use. We are no longer a village, as local settlement gaps between NW and TN have disappeared. Local brooks have been buried increasing surface flooding; drains cannot cope and affect water pressure. Many sites are CAHR and wildlife is affected and encroached onto the  Five Pits Trail.

this was the communities only social area and now holds our micro pub. to loose this important hub and replace with yet more housing will affect the morale of the community. it will encroach on the access to green spaces and add yet more traffic to the road. there are existing homes that use the side roads as access to their homes.
