Document element identified by Council Officer.
The draft SCI looks to be a comprehensive document. However, to be totally inclusive, in point 1.2 ..."Ensuring it to be, fair, open and accessible", for people without computers which will mainly be the older generation, any council consultation must be advertised in 'The NEWS' as this publication reaches (or should reach) the whole population of NE Derbyshire.
A phone number or address should be provided so that residents can request a printed copy to respond to. As an example, in the Spring edition of The NEWS, 'Give us your views' mentions that a paper version of the survey can be requested via email - no good for someone without a computer! The 'Access for All statement' at the front of the magazine provides the general council offices number but surely there should be a specific number for that officer to enable a quicker connection?
