There do not appear to be any proposed site allocations for Higham within the Shirland Cluster.
Site 45046 would enable a proportionate sized development of Higham village in a sustainable location adjacent to a level 2 settlement.
It is important that Higham village is allowed to grow steadily in a planned way.
Site 45046 was designated amber and red in the LAA on the basis of heritage impacts and concern about the settlement pattern/landscape however both these conclusions have failed to take account of planning permission 22/00332/OL immediately to the rear of this site, and this is misleading.
