We welcome the continued inclusion of site KL1 Land at
Westthorpe, Killamarsh for residential development.

Killamarsh is one of the most sustainable settlements in North East Derbyshire, with a large variety of services and amenities located within the settlement itself and with excellent sustainable transport connections to the main employment and retail centre within the city region – Sheffield City Centre.

The allocation suggests that the site can accommodate 330 new homes. We have a current planning application pending consideration, the technical due diligence to inform the application has demonstrated that the site can accommodate up to 393 dwellings. We would suggest that the 330 figure is a minimum for the delivery of the site.
