Appendix C: CALCULATION OF FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS FOR OPEN RECREATION FACILITIES
The following tables give the figures that should be used for the calculation of financial contributions for the future maintenance of on site and new off site facilities (per annum), for the provision of new off site facilities, and for the enhancement of existing off site facilities.

These will be updated on an annual basis (every 1st April) in line with the retail price index, as a percentage increase from the year before. The following formula is to determine the amount of commuted sum required by the Council for maintaining on site and new off site provisions which are conveyed to the Council, based on a 10 year period: n = Number of years = 10 years f = Inflation The percentage values will be the rates applicable will be those i = interest rate published by the Bank of England at the on set of the commuted sum being transferred to the Council. (1-((1+f/100)/(1+i/100))^(n+1)) / (1-(1+f/100)/(1+i/100))-1 The formula will calculate a multiplier for the rate value specified. |
