Representation ID: 1671

Received: 26/03/2015

Respondent: Sport England

Representation:

Support the principle of providing green space to address identified deficiencies, but it is not clear how deficiencies would be identified. Sport England is not aware that there is a robust and up to date evidence base in place (assessment of needs for sports facilities as required by NPPF paragraph 73). Sport England considers it is necessary to prepare a comprehensive evidence base for indoor and outdoor sport facilities. Please see link for further guidance:

Part 1 - Initial Draft (February 2015)

Representation ID: 2153

Received: 26/03/2015

Respondent: A & D Architecture Ltd.

Representation:

The Policy is Insufficiently Positive and is Ineffective and inconsistent with National planning policy
Solution:
Omit: "Sites for new housing will be allocated .....Settlement Limit"
Add: By a Green Belt boundary review and this Local Plan the local planning authority has removed sufficient land from the Green Belt to meet the foreseeable needs of the community of Eckington for sustainable development and has redrawn and established Green Belt boundaries accordingly. Any proposal to develop within the Green Belt that is not supported by Policy LP7 must be accompanied by proof that very special circumstances exist to justify it

we are concerned that there is no reference to the protection and enhancement of heritage assets. Given the significance of assets in this settlement this is a surprising omission. We suggest an additional bullet point.
