North East Derbyshire Publication Draft Local Plan (Reg 19)

Representation ID: 6794

Received: 08/03/2018

Respondent: Emma Thompson

Representation:

The local plan is assuredly NOT "in accordance with the legislation regulating plan-making and in the context of the government's planning policies." The NPPF states that green belt should only be built on in exceptional circumstances, and the local plan does not detail such circumstances. The plan has not taken into account the smaller sites where 10 or fewer homes could be built, as well as not properly researching brownfield sites and bringing empty properties back into use. Furthermore the current plan does not take into account planning applications granted for housing from March 2017 to the present day.

Change suggested by respondent:

Halt the current local plan until smaller sites, all brownfield sites, empty properties and approved planning applications have all been properly taken into account before green belt is removed.
